Boston, Massachusetts

I want to live here.

Boston, Massachusetts is only about an hour and a half away from where I grew up. Over the years I've been to Boston many times for various events and trips. When presented with this project, Boston was the first city that sprang to mind. Not only is it close to home, Boston Public Library presents the opportunity for my dream job: To be a young adult's librarian.

It would be nice to be so close to home after going to college so far away. Plus, the city itself is beautiful, as you will soon see in my powerpoint presentation.

I hope you enjoy!

I'm a Hero!

I'm giving blood today.

I don't want to.

Last time I tried to give blood, halfway through the process the blood just stopped coming out of my vein. So they pulled the needle out and stuck it back in. And pulled it back out and stuck it back in. Three times. No luck. I ended up with a massive bruise and an arm that I could barely move for a week. And they had to throw out my blood because not enough came out for them to use it.

I didn't really want to do it again but I'm intrigued by the whole "be a hero" thing, since it's my secret ambition to be a superhero. Seriously. No laughing. I guess it's not a secret ambition anymore... but whatever.

So anyway, I'm off after class to let them drain my body of blood in exchange for a sticker and a soda. Hooray.

Halfway

The semester is approximately halfway over. That's very strange to me. My first semester here a year ago dragged by soooo slowly. But it was a good slow, I was enjoying myself so much. My second semester went a little faster, and this semester is just speeding by. Does it keep going faster and faster? If it does, senior year will go by in a blink. That's scary. So much time is just slipping away from me, and sometimes I feel like I'm not really doing anything of worth. I study, I go to class, I take tests, I sleep, I spend some time with my friends. But am I really accomplishing anything? I'm not sure. So what should I be accomplishing? I'm not sure of that either. Maybe I'm not meant to accomplish anything yet.

Omegle

There is a recent website called Omegle where you can literally chat with a complete stranger. A random program links you with a stranger, and their username says "Stranger". Now, my mommy told me never to talk to strangers, and that was good advice, since Omegle is almost entirely populated by completely unsavory people. They use the anonymity of the website to have very disturbing chats.

I have found that it is most amusing to troll these people. Trolling means to generally be obnoxious, and the ultimate goal is to get them to ragequit. I have had a lot of fun with this, though I have run into some very disturbing material. Luckily you can quit the conversation at any time you so desire, and never speak to that person again.

I have, on occasion, run into normal people. I have had several theological debates, helped a girl with her Spanish homework, and talked about anime. However, I have run into hundreds of perverts as well. If you're looking for an interesting (and potentially disturbing, you've been warned) pastime, it's worth a try.

Fall Break

So, Fall Break is upon us. My school had a slight dysfunctional thing where apparently the exact date of fall break was not agreed upon. So, some professors have their syllabii saying that fall break is next week, the 6th to the 9th, and others say that it's not until the 13th. The official declaration has come forth saying that fall break is in fact next week, but for some reason a lot of the professors still have not heard this. That or they are ignoring it, since it messes up their schedules. I'm not sure.

One of my friends and I are heading to my Aunt and Uncle's house for break. They live nearbye and for some reason they love to have us over. I have no idea why. All we do while we're there is sit like useless lumps on our computers using their normal-speed internet, because here at school our internet basically fails at life.

But anyway, that's where we are going. All of our other friends are either going home or going with each other home. The reason we are going to my relatives is because both my friend and I live 1,000 miles away from home, and all of our other friends have cats which my friend is allergic to.

Over break I hope to accomplish a tiny bit of homework, a lot of catching up on internet stuff (aka watching anime), and lots of sleeping. Hey, isn't that what break is for?
